That's Amore!

After our wonderful wedding it was off to Rome for two weeks of
Mediterranean fun! We started in Rome where we stayed for a few days. It was a bit of a bumpy start since our luggage didn't arrive when we did, but we kept our spirits up and the wine flowin' until we were able to locate them! We loved exploring Rome for a few days and then took the train north to Savona where we boarded a Costa cruise ship. We were one of the few American couples onboard and enjoyed sipping cappucinos each morning on our private balcony and scoffing at the odd Italian entertainment in the evenings. The cruise gave us the 'sampler platter' of the Mediterranean--we visited Naples (Pompeii), Palermo Sicily, Tunisia Africa, Palma De Mallorca, Barcelona, and Marseille. After that whirlwind of culture, history, and panoramic views it was back on the train to, where else but, Venice! We took our obligatory gondola ride and wandered the tiny streets and canals of Venice. Then back to Rome for a few more days! It was an unforgettable trip and we can't wait to go back!
