2 months old!

Little Jack hit 2 months on July 12! (You must excuse my tardiness with this one!) He's growing so fast, it's hard to know where the time is going. At his 2 month appointment the little guy was 12lbs 8oz! The vaccinations at that appointment were no fun, but Jack did great (mom, on the other hand, shed a few tears).

At 2 months, Jack likes the A's (and he likes to rock).

Jack likes his swing and the mirror above it.

And he loves to smile while looking at his mobile of friends!

Baby's First Fourth

What a success! Our little family had a fantastic Fourth of July! We started off going to Todos Santos Plaza to listen to a little jazz (a la The Classy Cats---and we're almost positive that their piano player was the same one we had play at our reception). Scott, Sarah, and Jack's friend Catherine Drain joined us on the grass and the afternoon couldn't have gone better. The kids were cute, the music was good, and the weather was gorgeous! Then it was back to the Drain's house for some delicious BBQ and general merriment and overall good times.

We're convinced that Jack and Catherine have 'synchronized their watches' and developed some sort of 'wonder twin powers' so that they both eat, cry, and need to be changed at the same time! Even their moms may be in on the plan, since both babies donned their "Little Firecracker" shirts!

Sarah and I have our hands full!!! :)

What A Year!

Woo hoo! Pete and I celebrated our first year of marriage yesterday! Although, I must admit that I use the word "celebrate" loosely. How did we ring in our first year? Well, our evening consisted of jammies, sushi take out, and our couch. :) We tucked Jack in his swing and we got a good hour uninterrupted to have some dinner, exchange some small gifts, and reminisce over the whirlwind of a year that it's been. Of course then it was back to baby duty, but I suppose we knew that's what kind of an anniversary it would be when we decided to start having children right away! It was really amazing to think of how much change has come in just one year, not only for us but for many of our friends and family. Who knows where this next year will take us!
